august glossybox.

'iya beauties.
So last month there was no Glossybox one of two reasons. I got the box itself rather late in the month and by the time I had chance to properly look at it it was already August. I didn't really see the point to be honest. In some ways it was a good box and in others I wasn't really too fussed. For that reason I decided to not put a post up.
This months Glossybox is all about 'highflyers' which at first I thought was about little sample products to take away with you on holiday. However after some thought I realised it's products which are popular from around the world! Pays off to actually read the leaflet ;) Let's just put this out there, there is nothing bad I can say about this months box. There are products from Sweden, USA, Brazil and the UK.
full size 15ml - £1.49
Tresemmé is a favourite hair brand of mine. It's only really been the start of this year that I've fallen in love with their products. I really do love them they work wonders on my hair. Their platinum strength range has been raved about on Youtube and loved by many! Now this product is going to be perfect if you've got damaged hair. Not necessarily blonde hair, but damaged. The idea is to apply once a week after you've shampooed and rinsed your hair. Avoid roots as you don't want to enhance the oils making your hair look and feel more greasy!
full size - £10.50
Jelly Pong Pong is a brand I am now getting more familiar with thanks to Glossybox. I've found it can be a bit of a hit and miss. One of the products I've received previously I've loved and the other not so much. I'm excited about this product as it comes off a plum shade. I'm really loving putting purple in the crease at the moment and the outer corner. If I'm feeling particularly daring that day I even pop a bit of purple on the lower lash line! What I love about this product is that it's versatile. This can be used as a shadow stick and a liner. You could even use this as a base so eyeshadow/pigment/glitter will stick to it. This makes products you put on top more long lasting! I'm expecting great things from this product!
Now I'm not someone who has to curl their eyelashes everyday. I often find they don't need it. The only time I normally do is if I'm going out on a night out or for an occasion. When I saw these in my Glossybox I got excited like a kid at Christmas! These eyelash curlers are supposed to have a 'special' curved design which makes them suitable for all eye shapes. This is an excellent idea because it can be a pain when the eyelash curler just doesn't work for your eye shape. Not only that these do not touch your makeup base which means no smudges on your eyelid! I love the fact these are black and red they look very sleek. You also get three spare cushions too so these will last you a long time!
full size 200ml - £8.50
This handy little product aims to heal and soothe your skin. It is a cult product over in the States which just really goes to show you that it must be a good product! It is designed for very dry or cracked skin! If you've got dry skin then this product may be for you! I'm excited to try this especially in the colder months when I often get dryer skin than normal.
Okay so first off let me just say I've left you the link for the website where you can get more information about this product as it is not currently available here in the UK. Now the idea of this pen is to remove any smudges or mess ups that you may make. This may be with eyeliner, mascara, lipstick... I mean the list is endless more a less. This idea is amazing especially if you're doing your make up on the go and don't have access to cotton buds or make up remover to fix any mistakes! It's extremely handy for carrying around in your bag and I cannot wait to give this a whirl! I shall definitely keep you updated on how I get on with this!
Keep your eyes peeled for my August Glossybox video which I put up on my Youtube to go along side these posts!

the week so far.

'iya beauties,
I've decided mid-week aka Wednesday will be my day where I catch up with what's been happening and also post my latest video here. I know not everyone reads my blog who watches my channel and vice versa. Yesterday was a manic day for me I went shopping with a really close friend from school. I even started my Christmas shopping! Definitely getting more organised this year! Half of my nieces xmas pressies are done which is good! Other than that I plan to film a couple of videos this week in between working and I've got another shopping trip planned with my mum and Fia. All in all a busy rest of the week for me! I hope everyone is doing well. If you missed my Sunday video which was a Superdrug haul then you can watch it below!

sleek lace.

i'ya beauties,

So it's no surprise with my recent blog post that I am a huge Sleek makeup fan. I've always wanted to try Sleek but never really got around to it. I bit the bullet and did and now I'm addicted. Good for my ever expanding make up collection bad for my bank balance!
This lovely little palette is once of the most popular blush trios. £9.99 for three decent sized blushes I think is a really good price. The formulation of these blushes is really good too. They're long lasting and high pigmented. In this little handy palette you've got two matte blushes and then a shimmer in the middle. The three shades are Chantilly, Guipure, Crochet and that's going from left to right (orange to pink/coral). The orange is not too bright and looks lovely once blended into the skin. This has been a go to shade for me especially this summer. I personally just very gently swirl my brush into the colour as they are highly pigmented and I don't normally go for a strong blush look. The next shade is a pink which has gold shimmer. It is a truly beautiful shade and if I'm looking for something more subtle I tend to opt for this one. You have then got a lovely coral colour which I also love using. I feel this palette would be amazing if you're just starting out in makeup and are looking for some subtle but still colourful blushes to have in your collection. I love the fact you've also got a nice sized mirror as well which is helpful if you're on the go! I definitely plan to have a look and see what other trio's Sleek have as I am a huge fan of their blushes!
Have you tried any Sleek make up?

bee strong.

'iya beauties!

I'm bringing you the latest Herbal Essences collection. It's been a couple of months now since the collection came out. Four items in the collection came out that was the shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner and a leave in cream. I've picked up three out of the four products and have been using them religiously. Reason being I wanted to give you an honest opinion.

The Bee Strong collection is for damaged hair which is perfectly aimed at my hair. I use heat on my hair almost everyday and I also dye my hair. I've noticed that I seem to have less breakage than I normally do which is fab! My hair seems to be a lot stronger than it used to be as well so brushing my hair isn't such a nightmare anymore. The scent of this collection is phenomenal. Honey and apricot it's almost heavenly. If you know me you know I'm big on my scents and anything that smells good is sure to be a winner in my eyes! The packaging looks so good in my shower as well because it's nice and bright and colourful. The design goes with the theme hence the gold/yellow packaging with the typical green lid.
The shampoo and conditioner are £3.79 each for the 400ml bottles which I personally buy. I don't bother with the smaller ones. The shampoo itself leaves my hair feeling silky and smooth and makes it so much easier to handle. The conditioner works really well either on it's own if you wanted to use a different shampoo or with the shampoo from the collection. My hair is so much easier to brush through once I've used the conditioner. The smell also stays with my hair for the next few days which I love!
The intensive hair mask is another firm favourite of mine. I've mentioned the ignite my colour one before on here more than once I believe! Let me just say again definitely not disappointed. I use these masks every week or two. I find if I've used a lot of product in my hair during the week I use this to deep condition my hair. Styling products can all build up and I like to give my hair a bit of a detox by the end of the week! This basically detangles and conditions my hair. I find it really helps with the ends of my hair. You don't want to put this on the roots of your hair because it will probably make you're hair too greasy and you don't really want more oil there than need be! I focus it on the ends. I start from 1/4 down and work my way down to the ends of my hair. This is £3.99 for a tub and this lasts me ages as you don't want to use too much! It doesn't weigh my hair down either which is a plus!
The leave in cream is in a pump form and a 150ml bottle. It retails at £3.99. Same packaging and scent. I have not yet tried this product but I am eager to try it. Either use this on your hair wet and allow to dry or use it on dry hair and then brush it through. It aims to detangle your hair making it smoother and easier to brush through. Next time I'm in Superdrug I am definitely picking this up! I'd definitely recommend giving this range a try especially if you've got damaged hair like myself!
Let me know if you've tried this range!

summer beauty essentials.

Hello beauties.
So sunday I uploaded my summer beauty essentials or must haves. This is part one, there will be a part two on it's way which is make up related! I thought I'd post it on here as well because I'm not sure how many of you watch my YouTube and read my blog! On another note I realise I didn't do a Glossybox post last month, I've currently got two Glossybox's sitting outside my door as I haven't decided what to do with July's one yet! August one came yesterday and I'm super excited about that one as there is nothing bad I can say about it! I hope everyone's doing well!

tough moments.

Hiya Beauties,
It's no secret that life has it's ups and downs. There will be moments filled with absolute joy and happiness. Sadly, there will be moments which are filled with not so happy moments, sadness and despair. It's the cycle of life and every bad moment makes you a stronger person. I've mentioned previously I'm currently going through a rough patch. Losing someone is possibly one of the worst feelings to experience. It's heart-breaking.
People obviously deal with this matter in a different ways. Some bottle it up, some let it out etc. Whichever way it's never easy to deal with. Acceptance itself is one of the hardest things. I feel like I've only been able to accept the passing of my Grandpa since Monday just gone. Reason being that was the day of the funeral. Possibly one of the hardest days for me yet. It's never easy but it kinda slaps the reality into you.

My Grandpa was honestly one of the nicest people you'd ever meet. His sense of humour was just incredible! I see where my dad gets it from and then the six of us! He was a hero, fought for our country and made us all proud. It was his birthday August 4th and he would of been 91. That's a good age considering the health problems he had in the last few years of his life. He wasn't the same when my Nanna passed back in 2005. The light went out of his life and he just lost all motivation he just wanted to be with her. They're reunited now and finally at peace. Although it's difficult, it's nice knowing he's not suffering anymore. You'll always be loved more than you'll ever know. This one's for you Grandpa. Missing you & Nanna always. Forever in my thoughts.

 Goodnight Grandpa, Sleep tight.
Love you always!

sleek contour kit

Good afternoon beauties.
The end of June/beginning of July I did a bit of a splurge in Superdrug. I have an upcoming haul showing all those goodies. The Sleek contour kit was one of the things I purchased. I've recently got into Sleek make up and I love it. This product is no exception.

First off let's not get this product confused with another Sleek product. There is another contour kit that Sleek do however it comes with a blush too which means the bronzer is slightly smaller. It looks much like a blush trio palette. They retail at £9.99. I really love the packaging to start off with. I'm a huge fan! The only thing I don't like is that when it's in my make up bag it stands no chance of staying clean! The bronzer is incredibly pigmented which I really like. You don't need to swirl your brush around a lot to get a decent amount on your brush. You only really need to tap it in the product. I'm quite pale so this works really well for me. I've used this everyday since I've purchased it. I cannot go without bronzer so this is a must for myself! Moving onto the second part of this product it also comes with a highlighter. I'm not one for highlighting normally, simply because I do not own a lot of highlighters. However I'm now branching out and delving into the world of highlighters. This highlighter isn't white but it isn't pink. It's almost a champagne mixed with a hint of peach. It's not too overpowering either. When the sun hits your face it's not too much. It still looks quite subtle which I like. I would really recommend this product as I absolutely love it. You can take this on the go with you as it's got a decent sized mirror as well! It comes in three shades light, medium and dark so it's something for everyone.

Good evening beauties.
I realise it's been nearly two weeks since my last blog post. I again apologise however I am currently dealing with the loss of my grandpa. It's been a hard time on the family and I will no doubt do a post soon more about that I just don't quite feel ready to at the moment. That's also why there has been no new videos within the past couple of weeks! I have the content it's just not edited. To say I've not been in the mood to edit is one thing. I've just not been able to concentrate fully. This Monday my sister surprised my nieces by taking them on a last minute holiday to Haven in Hastings. They got back today and had a lovely time bless them. That meant we babysat the dog and the cat was stroppy all week! I wanted to share some pictures with you all. Jase popped by this evening and the girlies we're so excited as it's been ages since they've seen him on the bike, plus this is a new bike they've not seen before.
It's moments like these that I wouldn't change for the world. Keira and Beth look so grown up here. Fia looks adorable as she looks so tiny compared to the bike aha!
